Dan Cousart is more than just his large physical stature and his somewhat serious-yet-not-so-serious term "Cool Pop". Affectionately described as "Dayglow with a drinking problem", The East Nashville-based singer/songwriter brings a unique modern twist to today's Indie Rock. Blending styles of the hard-hitting and detached cool of indie classics like The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys, the heart-on-your-sleeve lyricism of folk greats like John Prine, and the fun and groove of Alt R&B acts like Steve Lacy, Dan's unique sensibilities and wry sense of humor are quite refreshing. From his roots as the frontman and songwriter of the critically acclaimed Philly-based garage rock band RFA to the present, Dan's work is shaping up to be something quite extraordinary, beautifully showcased on his debut album "Here's Twelve Songs".
